Introduction

SES Training Solutions is able to offer a range of study options for the City & Guilds 2339 Course.

While we make every attempt to ensure the accuracy of course information, this is subject to change, as part of our continuous improvement process.

You can enrol on this Module at any time and you are required to attend your examination on the examination dates we offer every twelve weeks.

Exam dates will be spread throughout the year for staged progression after each module is complete and is in the form of multi-choice and written papers. You must be able to attend our training centre for examinations or agree in advance any alternative.

Course Content

You will be required to complete the following units of study

Unit 660 Understand legislation in the power industry

Please note you will need to purchase separately the units below to gain the qualification:

Unit 661 Mathematics, mechanical and electrical theory in power engineering

Unit 662 Power Engineering electrical networks, plant and apparatus

Unit 663 Power Engineering cables, sub stations and overhead lines

Aim

Unit 660 Understand legislation in the power industry

Unit aim
The learner will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the following when working in a power engineering environment:
• relative health, safety and environmental legislation, the use of method statements, codes of practice and risk assessments
• effective working management techniques to improve productivity of self and others
• methods of using and communicating technical information.

 

Participants

There are no restrictions on entry to the qualifications. Candidates should not be registered for these qualifications if they already hold a qualification of a similar level and within the same content area, from City & Guilds, or another awarding body.

Age restrictions
This qualification is not approved for use by candidates under the age of 16.

Certification

This is one study unit of four required for you to gain a Level 2 Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering – Distribution and Transmission (Technical Knowledge) 2339-17 Qualification.

You must be able to attend our training centre for examinations or agree in advance any alternative location.
